In the first edition of the Rebel Scum Radio podcast we discussed if the tidal wave of Star Wars trailers and TV spots on the internet were spoiling the much-anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens set for release on December 17. We here at RSR agreed that while we have been exposed to many of the characters of the film, the storyline has been largely kept secret. However, for those of you wanting to hide in a cyber cave and avoid all things Star Wars until the films release, the developers at Jitbit have an answer (for Chrome users anyway).
How does it work? While browsing it “blurs a page if Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers are detected.”
Does it work? Well, yes I guess, but it blocks virtually any mention of Star Wars – which is perfect if you want that cyber cave. Unfortunately it takes few seconds to kick-in so any spoilers in the heading or images will be breifly visible and ruin your Star Wars world forever …. forever.
Avoiding Star Wars: The Force Awakens spoilers is a skill no Jedi or Sith has yet to master, although there is a legend of Darth Plagueis the Wise avoiding all spoilers for the Phantom Menace.
Suffer in your jocks Darth Plagueis.
