Well this was inevitable, I have already contributed to this massive haul by watching the movie 3 times in 48 hours. Star Wars: The Force Awakens has hit light-speed and now grossed an incredible $517 million. That’s thanks to a massive boost from an international debut of $279 million, and an estimated $238 million opening weekend in North America. However, the movie has fallen short of Jurassic World‘s $525 million worldwide debut, but we have to take into account that Jurassic World was released in China from the very start of its run, giving the movie an additional $96 million as a result. Star Wars: The Force Awakens has reached $517 million without help from the Chinese Box Office. Could James Cameron’s Avatar hold on to the top spot for highest grossing movie of all time?
