Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows has already pleased fans with their faithful translations of Bebob and Rocksteady. After much concern it looks like Krang, the evil alien brain from Dimension X, will stay pretty much on-point as well.
In previous trailers and TV spots we have seen small glimpses of Krangs eye and his robotic body, however at the 11 second mark of the new TV spot below we see Krang in all of his villainous glory.
Previously it had been reported by Rolling Stone that producer Michael Bay would present Krang as a “disembodied brain inside a giant robot” – seems okay? Until it was also explained that visual-effects supervisor Pablo Helman had removed Krang’s tentacles for TMNT 2 with Bay explaining “he could have some tentacles. I just don’t want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus.”
Yeah, that’s right, Michael Bay called Krang a “stupid octopus”.
Fear not though as the “major” revamp doesn’t look quite so major – I see tenticles – but when Michael Bay is involved god only knows what could still happen. Krang may have a British accent or something crazy.
Looking back at the classic Krang from the classic 1987 animated series I think fans will be semi-relieved. Check out classic Krang below.
